SECURITY Bank Corp. announced that it was selected by the quarterly Corporate Governance Asia magazine at the “12. Asian Excellence Awards” published by New Initiative Media Ltd. be organized for the different Investor Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the lender.
The Hong Kong-based publication presented the mid-tier bank with “Asia’s Best CSR Award” and “Asia’s Best Investor Relations Company Award” for its outstanding achievements in promoting inclusive development in the Philippines and improving the quality of investor relations in the country.
“Security Bank recognizes the important role financial institutions play in nation building and sustainable development. It recognizes that environmental and social risks arising from its operations and those of its customers significantly affect its operations… it strives to appropriately manage these risks by offering value-added products and services, acting responsibly and supporting meaningful advocacy “, says the publication.
In addition to the institutional awards, the publication also recognized three of the bank’s senior executives for their leadership and investor relations excellence: Security Bank President and CEO Sanjiv Vohra as “Asia’s Best Investor Relations CEO”; Chief Financial Officer Eduardo M. Olbes as “Asia’s Best Investor Relations CFO”; and First Vice President and Investor Relations Head Ropi F. Dangazo as “Best Investor Relations Professional in the Philippines”.
According to Corporate Governance Asia: “The bank has built lasting relationships with its investors through its investor relations program, which has resulted in consistent and timely disclosure of all material information.”
“The bank’s numerous communication tools have enabled it to provide strategic operational and financial information to investors, particularly its extensive disclosures to regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Philippine Stock Exchange,” the publication reads.
The Asian Excellence Awards recognize achievement and excellence in the areas of managerial skills, financial performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental practices and investor relations by Asia-based companies and executives.
