Ayala Land and Eton Properties unveil the Parklinks Estate’s iconic bridge

At 35 hectares, Parklinks, a property that embodies a sustainable, healthier way of living, working and playing, will be the largest mixed-use development along the prime C5 corridor. It is also touted as the greenest urban estate by Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) and Eton Properties Philippines, Inc. (EPPI) in Metro Manila, with 50% of the land dedicated to open space.

Inspired by modern European bridges, the Parklinks Bridge simulates a cable-stayed bridge with a 40 meter high arch that diagonally spans the 110 meter long and 25 meter wide road deck structure. The bridge connects Quezon City and Pasig City across the Marikina River. Both companies envisioned not only a functional landmark, but one that would signify harmony as it connects two major cities. Pedestrians and cyclists can also freely enter the bridge via the designated lanes, allowing everyone to commute safely and comfortably within and around the urban center.

With its expansive open spaces, Parklinks is redefining what it means to live, work and play in an urban environment – an environment that promotes a healthier lifestyle. Robert Lao, Senior Vice President and Group Head of Ayala Land Estates, expressed the shared vision of ALI and EPPI: “Both parties believe that finding a balance between profitability and sustainability is important and has our common belief prompted us to create an estate that will introduce a new way of urban living.” He continued: “Tonight we will be inaugurating the Parklinks bridge, the most iconic feature of the estate, which will boost connectivity in this part of the Metro improved.”
